Swagbucks is a rewards program that pays you to do a variety of things online. The most simple and well known way to earn money through Swagbucks is to use their search function. You get paid in “swagbucks” in lieu of money which can later be exchanged for various gift cards(or actual cash if you save for a long time). So, is Swagbucks worth it?
My official review of Swagbucks:
Price: free to join
Owners: Josef Gorowitz, Scott Dudelson, Ron Leshem, Eron Zehavi
Swagbucks rewards you for doing a variety of tasks such as playing games, doing surveys, and most importantly, doing searches. The search feature is promoted as a way to earn money while doing something you would be doing anyways. The amount of swagbucks awarded /is varied from search to search but is generally at the low end of the spectrum.
-Free to sign up.
-You get 30 swagbucks right off the bat.
-Over 10 different ways to earn swagbucks including games, surveys, and using the search feature.
-Search rewards are oftentimes next to nothing.
-Takes a very long time to build up a usable amount of swagbucks. You`re basically spending your time working a job that pays much less than minimum wage.
-You can only get gift cards(without saving up a ridiculous amount) and you are limited to 5 of each type.
-They track your searches for data. Also, strange searches in your history can cause you to get kicked out.
-Swagbucks is not internet marketing and you are not building anything long term(or even earning anything substantial).
WHO IS SWAGBUCKS FOR?
Swagbucks is for anyone who wants to make a little side income from things they already do anyways. Ofcourse, this income is so minuscule that it`s hard to validate the trouble of dealing with their interruptions in your normal tasks.
Swagbucks actually does have some decent support for anyone stumped about the program. This includes videos that cover the ins and outs of using Swagbucks, a customer service email, and a forum on their home site.
Swagbucks does deliver on it`s promise to provide you with cash value for using their search and other products. To my understanding, this is all to collect market data and as such it is intended to be used naturally and at a normal rate. Any attempts to “game” the system will quickly be noticed and you will be kicked out of the program as a result. Honestly, this is a deal-breaker for me because the amount made from using Swagbucks normally is absolutely pathetic!
VERDICT: REAL BUT EXTREMELY SMALL EARNING POTENTIAL
Swagbucks just simply doesn’t pay well enough to be worth your while. All that time spent on their games and surveys would be much better put to use on a real opportunity. This is another one of those “opportunities” that know how to promote themselves as the next best thing but can never deliver.
